Welcome to the Show!

 

Getting asked to direct “Free to Be…You and Me” has been a

chance to revisit an old friend. I remember watching the show on

TV and I played the album until it wore out! As a child I didn’t

realize how groundbreaking the material was but the stories

connected with me and I always loved the songs. Now, almost

50 years later, Marlo Thomas’s message of inclusivity and

acceptance is just as important.

 

Thank you to our wonderful cast who followed me back to the

70’s with enthusiasm and dedication. To our production team:

Melina Roberts, Jocelyn Handy, Kendall Harnett, Liz Rancourt-

Smith and Ian Michaud, thank you for helping me bring my ideas

to life. To Royal River Community Players for giving a first time

director a chance and finally to my husband Bill. He always has

my back and hums along to whatever music I am working on.

 

So sit back and enjoy our Williams, Janets, Richards and Vickies

as they explore friendship, imagination and dreaming of being
