Disney's The Little Mermaid

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a beloved stage adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale and the 1989 Disney film, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright. It tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid who trades her voice for legs to pursue Prince Eric, only to face the schemes of Ursula the sea witch. With the help of Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian, Ariel must win Eric’s love before time runs out. MTI licenses this musical for productions to help theaters bring the show to life.
