Randy is a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoys pets, the outdoors, and many activities that serve to celebrate the human spirit.  He channels operatic performances daily and puts pickles on his pizza.

Cassidy enjoys baking, dancing, and singing. She loves Winnie the Pooh, sprinkles, egg rolls, and classic musicals. She likes reading with her little sister Julia and she has a dog named Luna and a bunny named Meadow.

 

TED DANFORTH

BASS - BLUEGRASS GROUP: "TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS"

Professionally, Ted is an Environmental Engineer but playing his stand-up bass and guitar are his music passions.  Ted has been taking lessons at 317 Main for 3 years. Ted finds his way to the slopes and on the trails and waterways in season to find adventure and exercise.

Phil has been seen and heard in recent online productions with the Midcoast Theater Company, Royal River Community Players, the Children’s Museum and Theater of Maine, the Polyphonic Theater Ensemble and the Freeport Players. Zoom on!

Janie acts, writes, and directs for several theaters in southern Maine. But her secret, weird passion is making historically accurate props! Thanks to Kathy and Jocelyn for providing this fun opportunity to act and sing for you!


LEE FORREST

Lee is in 7th grade at Yarmouth Middle School. She started acting at the Performing Arts Academy of Marin when she was six years old, then she attended Marin Theater Company when she was eleven. This summer she did a production with Portland Stages. In October of 2020 she had her  first audition with Royal River Community Players; she was cast in Stroll Haunted Yarmouth, she was also cast in the live radio production of A Christmas Carol with RRCP.

CHARLOTTE GOLDSTEIN

"TWO" - COFFEE DATE

Charlotte was born in CA, but moved to Maine at 2 years old, before she had a chance to make it to Hollywood. Now she is 9 years old and her most recent play was Broadway Teaches Kids' version of the Wizard of Oz. In it, she played Dorothy, along with her twin sister, Rose Goldstein. 

 

ROSE GOLDSTEIN

"ONE" - COFFEE DATE

Rose Goldstein is currently 9 years old. She was born in San Francisco and moved to Maine at the age of 2. Soon after, she scored her first acting gig playing a statue. She thinks she nailed standing still. In her most recent role, she played Dorothy. alongside her twin sister in the  Broadway Teaches Kids international Zoom debut of the Wizard of Oz.

 

NIPPER HARDING

SINGER: "SIMPLE GIFTS" 

Nipper has been singing with various choruses and theater groups for many years, and is excited about Cabaret, and the collaboration of 317 Main Street and Royal River Community Players.

 

ERIC KELLEY

Eric is a 28 year old South Portland native,  He has had a love for theatre/acting throughout his entire life.  He is very excited to have this opportunity and be a part of an amazing cast and crew of such wonderful talent.  So please sit back in your own home and enjoy this amazing show as we take you through cyberspace and the internet, where you will see the wonders of how theaters do it virtually, how cameras glitch, how store owners sell you love, and of course, how couples play the banjo and guitar, and families play the piano and fiddle, and vocalists sing wonderful tunes to serenade you all.  If you can't beat it, join it!!

Lyra is a 7th grader at Mt. Ararat Middle School. She enjoys acting, drawing, reading, and creating. Recent obsessions include: anime, sketchbooks, cool jackets, and vampires. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Jeff, of Alna Maine, manages bits and bytes in the land of technology projects during the day.  He thoroughly enjoys playing music with the family band whenever he can, and his favorite color is green.  Go State!

 

MARY PHILBRICK

FIDDLE - ACOUSTIC INTERLUDE MUSIC

Mary is a 4th grader attending the Center for Teaching and Learning in Edgecomb.  She has enjoyed summer music camps at 317 Main.  When she’s not reading or writing, she may be found dancing, or playing her violin.  Owner to three Maine Coon Cats, she also can whip up a nice batch of crepes.

Maya is an 8th grader who is a climate activist. She enjoys skiing, acting, making music, and writing. She especially loves Broadway musicals, her favorite being wicked. In Love Is: A Cabaret she is playing the part of Elphaba, singing For Good.

 

NORTHERN PITCH

SINGERS: JINGLES' MUSIC; 'BREAK MY HEART"

Established in October 2018, Northern Pitch is a five-voice a cappella group based in Portland, Maine. Each of our members are lifelong musicians, passionate about tight harmony, vocal blend, and sharing our love of a cappella with local communities. DONNA PRIDDY

HOST 3; 1ST MONOLOGUE READER - YOU MEET A GUY

Donna is new to the acting scene, having participated in her very first play this summer; 10 Ways to Survive Quarantine, then subsequently Stroll Haunted Yarmouth and Our Town.  While Donna is the Director of Compliance for a large bank and a business/finance professor at a local college, she does have a background in music having previously taught piano, and directed the Freeport Lioness Lions Club musical variety show for 5 years. Donna is from Texas, but currently lives in Maine with her husband of 21+ years and teenage daughter.

ELIZABETH RANCOURT-SMITH

HOST 1; "B"; DANCER - JUST ONE MORE PIECE

Elizabeth Rancourt-Smith is a boymom, a tap dancer, a dance teacher and a legal professional, amongst a million other things. She has spent much of her time on stage in musicals and playing floozies but her most recent stage foray was with RRCP as Choreographer for Narnia, and much to her surprise and chagrin, a substitute Peter. She is excited to be playing something other than a teenage boy in this go-around, and is honored to work with RRCP again. 

 

LAURA RICHARDSON

GUITAR & VOCALIST - BLUEGRASS GROUP - "TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS"

Laura has been singing most of her life, from HS Choir to Contemporary Christian to Bluegrass.  She is self-taught on the guitar and mandolin.  Having followed 2 career paths in home remodeling and Exercise Physiology, she is now happy in retirement to keep up on the lives of their 7 grandchildren.

 

DAVID ROBISON

BANJO & VOCALIST - BLUEGRASS GROUP - "TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS"

Dave and Laura have been married for 25 years and playing music together all along the way.  Dave plays banjo and in retirement from Mechanical Engineering, he and Laura spend time remodeling and look forward to getting out on the water and exploring the Maine coast.

Alice lives in Freeport with her husband and their dog. She does art, walks a lot, and sings in the shower.

 

NANCY SALMON

JORDAN - THE BOOKSHELF

Nancy Salmon is delighted to be performing (acting!) in this production with her husband, David Webster. She has been dancing - professionally and just for fun - all her life, so far. She is President of the Board of the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Freeport which will open a multi-use, multi-user arts space at 40 Main Street, Freeport, this spring. Thanks to Kathy, everyone, for this terrific opportunity.

 

PETE SAWCHUCK

FIDDLE - "TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS"

Pete is a versatile fiddle player who enjoys jazz to bluegrass.  When Pete isn’t working in his Environmental Engineering Company, he is taking lessons and participates in ensembles and workshops at 317 Main.  Pete has been at 317 since its inception – and has been learning and playing music for over 20 years

 

KATHY SLACK

DIRECTOR - LOVE IS: A CABARET;  POET: JUST ONE MORE PIECE; JINGLES' LYRICS

Kathy's experience with directing began while bossing around her little brother when they were toddlers. Schooled in Theater and Voice at Ithaca College and New York City, with various, wonderful teachers, she spent time directing and acting Off-Off Broadway during the late 70's into the 80's, as well as playing a Nurse on the former old, NBC,TV Soap, The Doctors.  Ms. Slack, semi-retired, presently teaches Voice part-time for 317 Main Community Music Center, and at her home studio.  She has LOVED collaborating with RRCP in the virtual world, and working with such talented musicians and actors has been a pleasure!! BREAK A LEG EVERYONE!!

 

SOPHIA STURTEVANT

"A" - GOOD-BYE THEN; SINGER: "WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW"

Sophia Sturtevant is a Yarmouth resident, and has previously performed with RRCP as Alice in Alice!, and Bryn in 10 Ways to Survive Life In Quarantine. She is very excited to be a part of Love Is, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

NICK SUTTON

SINGER: "BEING ALIVE"

Nick loves entertaining his family and friends with his theatrical stylings and he is very excited to be a part of this cast!  Nick is a senior at South Portland High School and plans to attend college in the fall majoring in vocal performance.

 

MADELYN SWEET

SINGER: "TIL THERE WAS YOU"; READER 8

Madelyn Sweet (aka Maddy) is 11 years old.  She has been doing theater and the arts since she was 4.  She just loves all of it. She also plays the French Horn and is very passionate about writing. Since COVID, she has been into all the Star Wars movies (Rey is her hero) as well as Marvel movies.  She has a huge crush on Tom Holland.

Stacie Vining enjoys homeschooling Rose and Charlotte Goldstein. She also enjoys being in plays with them, including the 2020 performance of Stroll Haunted Yarmouth with Royal River Community Players.

 

ELIZA WATSON

SINGER: "LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD"

Eliza is excited to join this talented group of performers in Love Is: A Cabaret and this is her first multi-act LIVE virtual show! Past favorite theater roles include Sylvia in All Shook Up, Ma Strong in Urinetown, and Ilona Ritter in She Loves Me. Eliza is the musical director for a 5 voice a cappella group, Northern Pitch, and is grateful that they have been able to continue making music in person together this past year.
 

DAVID WEBSTER

CASEY - THE BOOKSHELF

David is having great fun rehearsing and acting with Nancy Salmon, his lovely wifely partner and enjoying collaborating with Kathy Slack and the balance of this theater company. It is a great honor to be on the board of Arts and Cultural Alliance of Freeport and working to open the new Meetinghouse Arts on Main Street Freeport. DIANE WHITMORE

Diane Whitmore is a schoolteacher, poet, and singer, all in English and French. She is also a clarinetist, saxophonist, guitarist, and percussionist. And that's about it.

 

RACHEL WICK

HOST 5; SINGER: "AIN'T NO SUNSHINE"

Rachel is 10 years old.  She has loved music and singing since a very young age. She knows how to play multiple instruments and write songs. She hopes to be a singer/songwriter one day.
