Overview:
We are in search of Assistant Instructors for our upcoming winter term. We are looking for someone who loves working with kids and teens (ages 5-17), has a passion for theatre (whether it be on stage or behind the scenes), and is excited to learn about running theater tech.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
• Helping the lead faculty with tech setup and shutdown;
• Participating in or leading theatre games as needed;
• Supervising students;
• Running tech at the end-of-term showcase;
• Being Sensitive to the many ages of performers that may attend a program (youth through adult);
• Reporting any problems or issues that might adversely impact the program or any attendees;
• Adherence to RRCP policies: Interaction with Minors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in theater, teaching, working at camps, or other jobs working directly with kids.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with students of various ages.
A commitment to promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Familiarity with child safety and protection policies is highly regarded.
Technical skills related to theater productions, including knowledge of lighting, sound, or stage management is preferred but not required.
Any people under the age of 16 must have their own transportation and be able to obtain a work permit before beginning the job.

Schedule:
The Winter Assistant Instructor positions are part-time, temporary from January 12 - March 5. This position can be renewed and expanded in the summer and fall of 2026.
We are open to applicants who can cover one shift or several of the following shifts
· Mondays, 3:45 - 5:15 P.M. (2.5 hours)
· Thursdays 3:45 - 5:15 P.M. (2.5 hours)
· Sundays, 11:45 - 1:15 P.M. (1.5 hours)
Compensation:
$15 - $18 an hour
